me tattooing some classic black & grey roses on the arm of my friend nils... using micky sharpz machines, 7 liner needle for outlines and a 7 soft edge magnum for shading

edit: i don't know why, but it seems to be impossible for me to add a comment to this video. so i use the description to thank you all for the nice comments! and to answer some questions - like josecskate wrote i also think clean linework is much more difficult than shading. and for the shading i ALWAYS use magnum needles (with soft edges). i think round shaders are shit, cause the shading mostly looks like scratches, it's not soft and clean, it destroys the skin much more than magnum and it takes much more time. by the way, today i prefer rotary machines. thanks and best regards oliver

I think for shade ... I think for shade he used wash of some sort. Cant get a shade/light shade with 100%? black. He does it like Josh C, water/black.
